-High Finish Moves Barrette Past $1 Million In Career Earnings

      Leanne Barrette became the fourth woman to surpass $1 million in career professional earnings Oct. 3 after a second-place finish at the Professional Women's Bowling Association's Lady Ebonite Classic in Columbia, Tenn.

      The $7,000 runner-up check put the 16-year pro from Pleasanton, Calif., at $1,002,218. She joins Wendy Macpherson ($1,173,335), Aleta Sill ($1,071,194) and Tish Johnson ($1,039,625) in the exclusive club. Barrette was presented with a gold medallion with 14 diamonds in the design of the Ebonite logo, representing each of her years on the Ebonite pro staff.
