***** Tip of the Week *****
Thanks goes out to George Freeman for this week's tip of the week.

Getting a New Piece of Equipment

When first purchasing a new bowling ball, the natural and understandable tendency is to go right out and bowl with it in competition. Hey, it's new, you wanna try it out! While you could certainly do that, the wiser thing to do would be to hold off on doing that. Every bowling ball comes with its own unique personality. No two bowling balls are made exactly the same, even two of the same manufacturer. The best thing to do would be to go out on the lanes in practice and try it out. When trying the new ball out, try to go to the center during a time when you know the lanes will have a little more oil on them. Then, come back when you know the lanes usually have less oil, and so on. This way, you can get some kind of an idea on how the ball will react on varying conditions. Then, when you are on the lanes, you can make a more educated decision on if the new beast residing in your arsenal would do the job best.
