***** Tip of the Week *****
This week George Freeman suggests stretching to give your game a lift:
When you see a baseball pitcher take the mound, do you see him step up and immediately throw 95 mph fastballs? Of course not, he warms up first. The first step in warming up for any activity is to stretch.
Stretching allows your muscles extra flexibility. Without this flexibility, the chances of pulling or tearing a muscle is increased. Start by stretching your leg muscles by doing some squats. This will allow for knee bend and extension. You can stretch your back muscles by leaning down to touch your toes. It's not necessary to actually try to touch them, but just being able to hang in that position will allow the back muscles to get loose.
These are just a few examples, for a more comprehensive explanation, you can get info from your doctor, or even at the bookstore.
