- Eagle -
- An emblem that is awarded for winning a title at the national tournament. If a player has an eagle, that means he is a past champion in some event.
EFRAH -
- 1) Even Full Rollers Are Hooking
- 2) Very dry lanes.
Entry angle -
- The angle relative to the pocket that the balls enters the pocket. As a rule, increased angle means increased strikes (hence the preference for a ball that hooks a lot or for clean back ends.)
Early timing -
- Releasing the ball before the sliding foot completes its slide and will typically result in less hook and a less strong ball.
Edge span -
- Distance from edge of thumb hole nearest to center to edge of finger holes nearest to center, excluding all inserts and/or grips.
Edge to edge span -
- Distance from edge of thumb hole nearest to center to edge of finger holes nearest to center, excluding all inserts and/or grips.
Engraver -
- Motorized etching tool used to engrave names on bowling ball.
Equator -
- The line around the ball perpendicular to the Midplane and the Midline covering the entire circumference of the ball.
Error -
- 1) A missed spare.
- 2) Incorrect scoring of the pins by the automatic scoring system.
Extra frame -
- 1) The bonus for filling the 10th frame
- 2) Fames bowled but not scored on your sheet (houses with framecounters track them and could charge you for them.)
