Ricky Ward used a Scout/R. It's a three-piece ball with a resin coverstock. It was drilled with a small shift and likewise a small hole. Ricky bowled great all week, it was just a couple misplaced ten pins from a chance at the title.

Jason Couch was using a gyro pro. It is a reactive resin 3 piece.

Brian Himmler, the 'Chief', was using an El Nino X-It with a 4 3/4" pin from axis, mass bias in the strong position for a sharp break point, and an extra hole on his PAP. This particular ball had Storm Xtras #1 surface and was used throughout most of the tournament on the fresh oil patterns to give him more midlane roll when he needed it! The left lane gave him some trouble though, and looking back, we could probably have used 2 different balls on the pair to help conquer the left lane. I would have liked a little more surface on an X-It with a similar layout, but hindsight is always 20/20!!
