Bohn Surpasses $100,000 Again
11/11/2000 - PBA
Parker Bohn III earned $2,600 at the Indianapolis Open, pushing his yearly earnings to $100,175. It marks the ninth consecutive year (and 11th out of the last 12) Bohn has surpassed the $100,000 mark in yearly earnings (he earned more than $200,000 in two of those years). Bohn's nine consecutive years of earning at least $100,000 is a PBA record. The record for overall years with more than $100,000 in earnings belongs to Walter Ray Williams Jr., who has 12 (Bohn has 11 and Pete Weber has 10). Williams is less than $12,000 away from posting his 13th year of more than $100,000 in earnings. Should he get to the $100,000 mark again this year, it will extend his current streak to eight consecutive years (one behind Bohn).
Norm Duke is the only other player with more than $100,000 in earnings thus far this year ($116,975), but four other players are within $31,000 of the mark with three events remaining (Williams, Ryan Shafer, Chris Barnes and Robert Smith).
