Macpherson Breaks TV Appearance Record And Has Shot At Million Dollar Mark

LANCASTER, OH - Wendy Macpherson, Henderson, Nev., qualified for her 13th television appearance breaking the record for the most television appearances in one season in the Columbia 300 Open at Tiki Lanes in Lancaster, Ohio, Wednesday evening. Macpherson can also break the magical million-dollar career earnings mark by placing 1st or 2nd with TV incentives being the second woman bowler in PWBA history to accomplish this feat.
Macpherson's lists of accomplishments over her 14 years of professional bowling are beyond awesome. Most recent, Macpherson was voted 99' PWBA Player of the year honors for the third time in four years and led all players in earnings with $120,465. Not only did she lead 99' with earnings, Macpherson set a single season average mark with a torrid 218.85 on demanding pro conditions. She was also voted 90's Bowler of the Decade and leads 2000 earnings with $112,875. She owns 18 National titles, has 14 perfect games, and a high series of 837.
Macpherson started her career at a young age of 18 years old when she experienced instant success winning the U.S. Open in 1986 as an amateur in Topeka, Kansas which helped her win the 1986 Rookie of the Year honors. Other honors include; 96', 97', 99', PWBA Player of the Year; 97' Merit points leader; 96', 97', 99', BWAA Bowler of the Year, 93', 96', 97'; WIBC All-American; 98' Bowlers Journal All-American; 86' PWBA, Bowling Digest and WWPB Rookie of the Year and was the youngest woman to win the Triple Crown at age 22.
