  Carolyn Dorin-Ballard Was Named BWAA Of The Month For June07/03/2001 - Bowling Newsline For the second consecutive month, Carolyn Dorin-Ballard was voted Bowling Writers Association of America Bowler of the Month. As she did in May, Dorin-Ballard won two titles in June, the Fort Worth (Texas) Classic and the Greater Memphis Open, her 13th and 14th career Professional Women's Bowling Association titles. The 36-year-old right-hander from North Richland Hills, Texas, also placed fourth at the Greater San Diego (Calif.) Open. Parker Bohn III of Jackson, N.J., who captured his 27th Professional Bowlers Association championship and first "major" at the American Bowling Congress Masters in Reno, Nev., was runner-up in the balloting.
