Dorin-Ballard Agrees To Be Official High School Bowling USA Spokesperson
03/20/2002 - Bowling Newsline
Carolyn Dorin-Ballard, 2001 PWBA Player of the Year and winner of seven bowling titles in one season that tied a record set in 1976 by Patty Costello, has agreed to serve as official spokesperson for High School Bowling USA, according to the Bowling Proprietors' Association of America.
Dorin-Ballard competed on the high school level in New Jersey and went on to become an All-American bowler at West Texas State University (now West Texas A&M). This background, coupled with her unprecedented success on the professional level, makes Dorin-Ballard a natural fit for becoming High School Bowling USA's official spokesperson.
She also was named Bowlers Journal International's Person of the Year and Bowling Digest's 2001 Women's Pro Bowler of the Year.
As spokesperson, Dorin-Ballard will be available to promote high school bowling as a varsity sport at national, state and local level events, as her touring schedule allows.
