  Jason Couch Selected BWAA Bowler Of The Month01/05/2003 - BWAA Jason Couch was voted Bowling Writers Association of America Bowler of the Month for December by a select panel of the organization, BWAA President Lyle Zikes announced today. Couch, a 33-year-old left-hander from Clermont, Fla., defeated Ryan Shafer, Elmira, N.Y., 266-224 in the deciding contest of the Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) Tournament of Champions at Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Conn., to capture his 10th career PBA Tour title and become the first player in PBA history to win three consecutive “T of C” events. Norm Duke, a fellow resident of Clermont who won his 20th career PBA Tour championship at the PBA Cambridge Credit Classic in Syosset, N.Y., was a distant runner-up in the balloting.
