 February 05, 2003:  Big Name Celebrities Expected To Attend Bowlers Care For Kids Charity Event02/05/2003 - Bowling Newsline KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – NFL stars Jason Sehorn of the New York Giants and Warrick Dunn of the Atlanta Falcons highlight the list of celebrities expected to attend Friday night’s Bowlers Care for Kids Celebrity Bowl at the Knoxville Convention Center. The event, which will be held on the 48 specially installed lanes for the 100th ABC Championships Tournament, will primarily benefit the Boys and Girls Club of the Tennessee Valley and the Earl Anthony Memorial Scholarship Fund. “This is all to benefit the kids,” said ABC Director of Marketing Alliances, Promotions and Events Michele St. Marie. “Not only do participants get to bowl on the ABC Championships lanes, but they also get to mix and mingle with national and local celebrities.” Other celebrities expected to make an appearance include: Former NFL player Warren Moon, ABC and PBA Hall of Famer Dick Weber, professional bowlers Kim Adler and Johnny Petraglia. The event will consist of four bowlers per lane with each lane assigned a celebrity bowler. Anyone interested in bowling in the event can still do so by donating a minimum of $300 per person or $1,000 for a team of four. Admission to the event, which will start at 7:30 p.m. and conclude at 10:30 p.m., is $5 and tickets can be purchased at the door.
