***** Happy Memorial Day Weekend from Kegler's Connection *****
The volunteers who bring you Kegler's Connection each week wish you a happy weekend and welcome the unofficial beginning of summer. If you're bowling summer leagues, we wish you the best of luck! We'll keep it short, so you can hit those barbecues and outdoor parties.
***** Bowling Sports Pages *****
Have a bowling story to tell? Join the growing numbers of folks who tell the world by creating a bowling web site. The Grandstand Sports Pages has links to some great pages to get you started. The site links to Diva's weekly bowling columns. This week Diva writes on the demise of the Bowling World Village.
***** Tip of the Week *****
George is off to Albuquerque for the ABC Championship Tournament, but before he left, he typed off this:
Keeping a Clean Surface
Getting a new ball is great, but have you ever noticed that after a few games, it just doesn't react the way it did? Well, every ball has that
problem. What happens is all the dirt and oil can get inside the pores of your bowling ball, causing the ball to not contact the lanes as much as it
did new. You should make sure all the oil and dirt off your ball before you start league play. You should also resurface your equipment every 50-75 games or so, depending on personal preference. It's like changing the oil in your car: Do it regularly, and the life of the ball will be greatly extended, if not, prepare for a short retirement for the ball.

Macpherson will be joined at the National Bowling Stadium in the finals of the 40th annual tournament by Marianne DiRupo, Leanne Barrette, Sharon Aronson, and Kim Terrell. The winner will receive the Queens tiara, a diamond pendant, and $23,000.
***** New PBA Logo Debuts/New Website to Follow *****
One of the first visible marketing efforts from the new owners of the PBA Tour is the new logo and the movement of the official PBA Tour website.
The website at one time was at PBA.org, then moved to its current PBATour.com, as PBA.com was owned by a medical billing service in Pasadena, CA. But going to that site now, takes bowlers to a new PBA website under construction, and their new logo.
In March, web entrepreneurs Chris Peters, Mike Slade, and Ron Glaser announced their purchase of the PBA. As the tour has been on hiatus since February, much speculation surrounded the purchase and the changes that would take place in both the short and long term.
Purchase price for the website was not disclosed, and the new site has not debuted yet, but keep checking http://www.pba.com for the new and improved PBA website.
