Vacancy -: A "dummy" or "blind" score is used for each unfilled position on the team. The score amount is set by the league and still is handicapped as if an actual bowler is carrying that average.
Vent hole -: An extra hole drilled to relieve suction in the thumb hole; not a gripping hole.
Vertical axis measurement -: The perpendicular measurement from the midline to the bowlers PAP.
