Imbalance -
- Is the displacement of the center of gravity from the geometric center of a bowling ball.
Inside -
- Refers to the portion of the lane bounded by ten boards on both sides.
Inside out armswing -
- 1) A setup somewhat toward center of the body.
- 2) The pushaway moves toward the center of the body. The swing is forced to loop out around the body rather than straight back as in the traditional pendulum swing. As it loops out around the body, it redirects behind the back completing the backswing. The forward portion of the swing is again muscled not forward, but out to the right sending the ball from left to right.
In the groove -
- Zoned, well lined up; unconscious bowling; doing so well that it is nearly automatic.
In the zone -
- A bowler that has adjusted to the lane conditions and found a reaction that gets the ball to the pocket.
In time -
- Simultaneous arrival at the foul line of one's sliding foot and release of the ball.
